Income
Income is a very important aspect of FoW. Under level 80, the strength of your squad will greatly depend on the income you have.
The more income you have, the more upkeep you will be allowed to have. You may use up to 100% of your income for your upkeep, however, you may not go above it. It is wise to use only 20-25% of your income for upkeep. This allows you to arm up all or part of your squad while still building your income for the future.
Bases dictate the amount of income you are receiving hourly. More bases = more income.
Bases are not the only way to increase your income. Many people will rely heavily on collecting bounties to build their empire. This is one of the fastest ways to increase your income.
HOW GOOD IS MY INCOME?
A "good" income is dictated by the weapons/vehicles that are available to you, as well as the amount of allies you can bring with you to battle.
Have a pen or notepad document to keep track of values.
To calculate what income is good for your level you will need the following values:
- Number of Allies you can bring to battle (Your Level X 4, then add 10) Example: Level 1 = 14 Allies, Level 10 = 50.
- Upkeep of the most powerful weapon in your armory (Do not use craftable weapons!)
- Upkeep of the most powerful vehicle in your armory
Take the Upkeep of the most powerful weapon in your armory and the Upkeep of the most powerful vehicle in the armory, and add them together.
Now multiply this number by the amount of allies you are able to bring to battle.
In my humble opinion, this should be the absolute minimum amount of income you should have.
Now, multiply this number by 4. This is a great income for you to have, anything above this is excellent.
Here is an example, you should be aiming to have a "good income" at the least.
Level 10
Allies in battle: 50
Strongest weapon upkeep: $750
Strongest vehicle upkeep: $2000
Total item upkeep: $2750
Bad Income: Less than $137,500
Poor Income: $137,500
Good Income: $550,000
Excellent Income: $5,250,000
Overpowered Income: $21 Million
Bad income - you are not able to arm all squad members with strongest weapons/vehicles.
Poor income - able to arm all squad members, but you will have no hourly income.
Good income - able to arm all squad members, and only use 25% of your income for your upkeep.
Excellent income - able to arm all squad members with best unlocked weapons/vehicles, no hourly income.
Overpowered income - able to arm all squad members with best unlocked weapons/vehicles, only using 25%.
Upkeep
When you buy weapons and vehicles, you will see a value for upkeep.
Upkeep is the amount of money that is taken away from your hourly income.
So, if you were making $10,000 an hour and you bought a Vehicle with an Upkeep of $1,000, your hourly income would be $9,000.
Weapons (and vehicles) make your attack/defense scores higher, increasing your chances of winning against your opponents.
Weapons in this game come in sets of 100. Each member of your squad can hold 100 weapons.
Keep in mind that when buying weapons, the attack/defense score is for all 100 weapons, not just 1 weapon. When you buy 100 weapons with an attack score of 5, your attack score can increase by 5, not 500.
